Favorite Quote:

The Golden Rule: “Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You.” After the Golden Rule, I often try to apply one of my mother’s favorites, “Two Wrongs don’t Make A Right.”

Favorite Foods:

Seafood, Cheese, Pasta, Vegetables, Ice Cream, and Dark Chocolate, pretty much in that order, but can’t deny an occasional craving for steak!

Favorite Movie:

Most powerful recent movie in my opinion, “An Inconvenient Truth, A Global Warning” with Al Gore. An all-time favorite comedy is a 1970’s classic, “9 to 5.”

Favorite Book:

Most influential is the Bible. I often think of the lessons to be learned from it and the “truths” to be derived from it. Recent reads that I have enjoyed are a biography “1776” and a Civil War time-frame novel, “Cold Mountain.”

Favorite Sports Team(s):

  • Baseball - Philadelphia Phillies
  • Football - Pittsburgh Steelers

Favorite Place to Travel:

The U.S.A! I have traveled through all fifty states, visiting many of the National Parks, and seeing many of the cities and towns along the way. I particularly enjoy the American West, the coasts of New England, and the surprises waiting to be discovered in the Midwest and High Plains. And Alaska!

Side Interests and Activities:

  • Civic Participation: I am an elected member of our precinct-level Elections Board, one of those folks you see every spring and fall when you go to your polling place! I am also an elected member, on the precinct level, of the Lancaster County Democratic Committee.
